Studio Mondo for LMND eCommerce

A familiar face at Studio Mondo, Ana Escobar has launched her own personal brand after working as GM for Oroton over the past 10 years. We were excited to be a part of the launch of LMND’s eCommerce store, taking on both campaign and lookbook shoots.

Having a strong team who works together often made a such a difference, with Matt Jensen as lead photographer, Danielle Valentine styling and Annette McKenzie on Hair & Make-Up.

A mountain of work to get through in two days, the team managed to finish 30 minutes early and had all images ready to deliver by the end of the shoot day. Just looking at some of the stats, we are pretty impressed by the scope of this job and the team’s ability to power through — 5 set builds, 4880 images and a wireless system set up for live selects to be made by the client.

EziBuy’s Creative Team Take New Zealand

The Studio Mondo and EziBuy teams collaborated yet again on a trip to New Zealand for EziBuy’s winter catalogue shoot.

As usual, lugging all of Mondo’s gear overseas was indeed a challenge, with Vanessa handling the plenty of pre-production involved (those darned battery packs!).

However stepping off the plane, Queenstown didn’t disappoint with blue skies and turquoise lakes on a mountainous backdrop.

While Grant Matthews travelled with the team, Elizabeth Wilmott was Art Director, Frenchy was lead photographer and our beloved Jude Keown was on hand in charge of production. With Amanda Moore styling for the week and the always fabulous Craig Beaglehole on Hair and Make-up, some incredible content was captured.

Titus Pengelly: Travels in Japan

Japan is the vacation of the moment, with three of our staff members visiting in the past year. We don’t blame them.

This round is was Titus Pengelly’s turn. A first timer who brought the whole family along for the ride, Titus was enamoured by the Tokyo classics, and especially the food. Take note of Lawson’s (first pictured above), a well-known oasis of all things tasty and boozy, with Titus admitting he spent far too much there.

Returning with caffeine mints and an image gallery to boot, envy is an understatement.

Ultra Violette does Mothers’ Day

Innovative sunscreen brand Ultra Violette joined us in studio for a special video shoot. Celebrating Mother’s Day, the theme was “The Best Piece of Advice You Received From Your Mum”, giving us a moment to think back on the tips shared by our own mother figures.

With a dynamic cast and colourful set, the day was a success.

A Mustang in Scone

Creative power couple Adam Kola and Danielle Valentine headed to Scone for a weekend getaway, staying in a cottage formerly owned by the Arnott’s family, right near the (Harvey) Normans’ farm. The star of their Aussie adventure was a Ford Mustang GT, on loan to Adam for some photographic work. You could say the couple were taking a prized horse into the NSW capital of prized horses!

Their drive home was something special, joined by plenty of vehicles returning from the Tamworth Classic Car festival, Adam, Dani and their bright red beauty fit right in.

Scroll throught the gallery above for some of Adam’s shots, with special thanks to driver Dani — love your work.

Camilo Bustamante for Capture Emerging Photographer of the Year

Our studio extraordinaire Camilo Bustamante has been highly commended for the Capture Emerging Photographer of the Year in the Documentary/Photojournalism category.

This well-deserved achievement comes as no surprise to the team, with Camilo’s documentary work both on and off the Studio Mondo scene (see BTS throughout our Social Media for a better understanding).
