In April, one of our resident photographers Dan Goode set off on a trip to Nepal to assist in a DIY building project in Pokhara, 127 miles away from Kathmandu.
Over $20,000 was raised from a number of international DIY communities in order to build Nepal’s first international standard skatepark, on a 500 square metre block of land approved by local government.
Lead by 75 volunteers from over twenty countries, the project aimed to introduce skateboarding into Nepalese culture, and to create a space that allows progression and social engagement through skateboarding as a sub-culture.
Dan’s book, ‘Western Feelings’ is a celebration of the friendship and community that was unearthed through this project, and documents the build of the park and how this impacted the local community.

In partnership with the UN Women National Committee, Esprit asked us to get involved in an empowering shoot in order to raise awareness, educate and generate funding in honour of International Women’s Day 2017. The brand designed a signature scarf in collaboration with 5 of Australia’s most influential fashion bloggers, and donated 100% of proceeds to UN Women.
A whole lot more than a simple fashion statement, the scarf was modelled in different ways, encouraging women to embrace their own unique personal style and to act as a symbol for Esprit’s passion for women’s empowerment and gender equality.

We worked with international retail giant TK Maxx to launch their brand in Australia. Now in 35 locations across the east coast, the off-price retailer wanted imagery to suit their unique value-ethos of brand, fashion, price and quality.
This vibrant shoot took place over a full day and encapsulates the fun, individual style that TK Maxx wish to offer as a unique shopping destination.

We continued our work with fashion brand Sheike to create some more beautiful content for their website. Incorporating a mixture of flatlay and on-model shoots, the focus was on maintaining the brand’s baseline principle that personal style is an expression of yourself that speaks a thousand words.

Following the success of our day with the boys from the Clontarf foundation, the team launched themselves wholeheartedly into Mondo’s next Community Support Initiative: a blood drive. While the promise of an event that centres around blood and needles is often a recipe for a low turn-out, we rallied 13 Mondo troops to donate.
Maybe it was the allure of a cup of tea and free biscuits after the donation, but we’re very proud of all of our team who took the time and effort to join in and recognise the impact that these selfless acts have on others within our community.
