Nikki To ventured to the Cook Islands this summer. She wanted more of the tropical summer offered closer to the equator than the temperate environment of Sydney. Nikki had two weeks in paradise on the main island Roratonga, and a smaller island called Aitutaki. She feasted on Ika Mata (a coconut raw fish salad), snorkelled, and hung out with the locals. She also managed a couple of 6 hour hikes to work off all the fish and exotic fruits she consumed. Nikki’s hopes of a tropical paradise were slightly dashed when it rained torrentially on Aitutaki. However, Nikki still managed to capture images of the beautiful people who inhabit this glorious pocket of the world.
Mondo has continued its relationship with David Jones into 2014 with work in parts of the Brand book, Beauty Book and Home Book catalogues. We also shot the big annual Christmas catalogue for the end of last year with the NYC agency, Chandelier. It has been a smooth transition into working with Whybin TBWA and it looks like we’re going to have a great year together!
A) Huge, B) Private Access, C) Separate make up and styling area, D) All of the above. Studio D is Mondo’s brand new studio and it really does have it all. Natural light streams through the 411 sq metre space creating a natural and bright atmosphere, and there is a 6.9m built in cyc. It even features a private office for all those Don Draper ad exec types who need a stiff drink after lunch. I don’t think I could sell this any harder if I tried… Please call us on 9310 6100 if you wish to make a booking.
All systems are go here at Mondo Digital. EziBuy have started the year shooting the AW14 range, and Grant Matthews has also shot an important campaign for the Breast Cancer Cure Research Trust. EziBuy has teamed up with prominent New Zealand designers Moochi, Andrea Moore and Trelise Cooper to design 3 gorgeous T-Shirts. 100% of the sale profits will go to the trust. Our Mondo gals Judith, Alice, Anneliese, Clancy and Nikki starred in the campaign. Mondo loves fashion for a cause!
Continuing with the summer holiday theme as we sit at our desks sweating it out in February is Mondo post co-ordinator, Clancy’s, Whitsunday sailing trip with her parents. She swam with turtles and manta rays amongst the coral whilst Pappa Gibson charted them around the islands. They even managed to have a full Christmas lunch on board with all the trimmings. After polishing off the turkey they drank bubbles and watched giant fish nibble their toes. Bliss really!
